Summary of High School Scheduling Models in Virginia
All 302 schools which included one or more high school grades (9-12) were surveyed by telephone during September and October of 2000 regarding their scheduling plans for the 2000-2001 school year. Schools have been classified with regard to the basic scheduling plan followed. An attempt has been made to describe variations to the basic plans through the use of footnotes. Please report any errors. Schools range in size from a rural combined school including grades K-12 with fewer than 100 students to urban high schools with over 2000 students. Readers are encouraged to consult the Virginia Directory of Schools for information regarding grades included and district size.
