1. Artifacts submitted should describe technology tools and techniques used to assess a student’s mastery of content knowledge.  These may be formal assessment tools or tools that are used regularly in the classroom to reinforce instruction.

Online assessment and diagnostic tools – VA SOL testing, ARDT – algebra readiness diagnostic testing, STAR – reading assessment, Accelerated Reader, industry certification exams – Microsoft User Specialist, IC3

1. Artifacts submitted should demonstrate how technology is used to collect and analyze data in order to make informed instructional decisions.
   
Examples of content for reflection:

1.

InteGrade Pro (or another electronic grade book) is used on a daily basis to record student grades.  The grades are reported to parents at the marking period mid point in the form of an interim report.  The interim report includes analyses in the form of class averages, a graph of student performance, or a comparative analysis of the student versus the class.
2. Optical mark readers are used by classroom teachers to score (gather) student assessments and provide information such as class averages and item analyses.
3. Email is used to send progress reports to parents.
4. School or classroom websites are used to report student performance to parents and community members.
