Reasons to Say
Yes
The answer to the question, I decided, was yes. The follow up
question is why?
If I am to continue to serve as a leader and mentor to others, I
need to have the credentials that demonstrate that I can walk as
well as talk the walk.
The most important task any of us have is to continue to be
lifelong learners and to demonstrate that love of learning to
our students and to our colleagues.
Being NETS*T certified fills a professional need; it is the
logical next step after getting my Master’s degree and becoming
a Master Teacher.
One of the best reasons, however, is that it would allow me to
look at what I am doing from a new perspective. The process
would become a form of self assessment.
