The Virginia NETS*T Certification Program is built upon a program of NETS*T Certification originally developed in the Shenandoah Valley Technology Consortium (SVTC) beginning in the spring of 2003.  Click on the background option above to find out more about the SVTC program and its key elements.

The Virginia NETS*T Certification Program, as opposed to the SVTC program, is funded by a generous grant from Microsoft Corporation to extend the SVTC model across the state.  Click on the Implementation option above to find out more about this program, including the key elements of its design and how they differ from the SVTC version.
