Teachers use technology resources to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning.

Criteria

Meets

Use technology resources to collect data

Technology is consistently used to collect student performance data in more efficient and effective ways than traditional means of data collection.

Use technology resources to analyze data

Technology is consistently used to analyze student performance data in more efficient and effective ways than traditional means of data analysis.

Use technology resources to communicate findings

Technology is consistently used to communicate student performance data in more efficient and effective ways than traditional means of communicating performance data.

Use data to improve instruction

Analysis of data collected using technology is consistently used to make decisions that do one or more of the following:

- Improve the quality of learning and instruction

- Improve the quantity of learning and instruction

- Reduce the time required for learning and instruction and to accomplish tasks

 

Following must be included to achieve “meets” on all criteria.

Artifacts that show consistent use of technology to do each of the following:  collect, analyze, and report student performance data.  Reflections describe how the technology tools used are more efficient and effective than traditional tools.  Note – one tool may do all of the above.

One or more examples of how technology enhanced data analysis helps you make decisions that improve your instruction.
