Performance Guidelines:

*

The period of performance is considered to be the current academic year (September through April).

*

Frequent contribution is considered to be at least once a month during the academic year.

* Substantive contribution is considered to be well-reasoned, thorough, and professionally presented.  It does not have to be lengthy.

* One professional development activity is considered to engage the learner for at least 30 minutes, either per session or summed across sessions.

* Completing a professional development activity includes documenting the nature of the involvement.

* Examples of professional development activities include reading and summarizing a professional article (online or print), engaging in a moderated discussion.

* The project for developing the VCOP product must be approved in advance by the instructor.  As a general rule of thumb, the project should reflect approximately 40 hours of applied development.

* Relevant professional development includes any activity that address the use of educational technology to enhance teaching.
