At the secondary level, there are a number of different educational services
that might fit a particular child's needs.
These include:
-a remedial approach where students are taught academic skills that they
have not previously mastered;
-a tutorial approach where students are given extra help in meeting their
classroom demands;
-a functional approach where students are taught skills that they need
for vocational preparation and everyday living;
-a strategy instruction approach where students are taught ways to more
effectively learn academic content.
